I really should have advertised this
cybercrop BEFORE the event so you could have joined us! Will remember to do that for the next one.
I found the online chat thing quite stressful to keep up with, either the chatting was scrolling really fast or I was trying to scrap the quick fire layout based on Trina's sketch and chat at the same time (impossible when using two different desks to create and compute LOL). Thankfully the rest of the Design Team's challenges had longer deadlines.
Trina's challenge was to create a layout within about 90 mins, based on her
sketch...
Vicky's challenge was a two part one, firstly to take a photo of something that represents where we are 'at' right now - as I am a mother of a 12yr old and a 15yr old I entered a photo of my fave photo of me and the kids. The second part of the challenge was to scrap the photo...
Lara's challenge was to scraplift a layout from the gallery, I chose
THIS ONE of MeadowRoo's, I really related to her journalling...
Donna's challenge was to recycle an item of packaging on the layout. It's not that easy to tell but my shaker box was made using the internal packaging from a Basic Grey brads packet...

Rach's challenge was to scrap about something we use in our everyday life, how could I NOT scrap about my no#1 essential, HANDCREAM!!!...

I was rapt to get all the challenges completed and to have five more layouts to add to our albums.
Now to get on and finish the housework that was neglected during my Leaps of Creativity week! LOL (it is 3.37am and I have the washing machine on - thank goodness my kids sleep well!).
Mind you I did spend four hours in the kitchen yesterday decluttering the pantry! It's a big pantry full of foodstuffs, crockery, glassware, tupperware, first aid items (I found
19 purse size packets of Kleenex soothing
Aloe Vera tissues on the top shelf - just in case we all get a cold at the same time!!!), there was also a box of screwdrivers, screws, allen keys etc (they are now in the garage), plus six broken remote controls! There are also five bags of giant garlic that Ross harvested from his garden, hiding on the bottom shelf (they need a cool dark place), they don't smell or they would so NOT be stored in the pantry!
I threw out three supermarket bags of junk, have three s/m bags of recycling and one s/m bag of bakeware that can go to the op shop. (oh plus a large box of tupperware items that are either minus the bottom or the top).
As soon as I have uploaded my photos for this blog entry I am going to start on cleaning the inside fridge before I go and pack my bag for an overnight trip to visit family in Auckland.
btw - if you want to stalk some blogs (most of them are scrapping blogs) then check out my links on the left.
