I went back...

last night I returned to Scrapbook Corner for another layout class and came home with another gorgeous layout which included handcutting, embossing (with the Cuttlebug), painting, distressing, sewing, pen lining and scrunching. We used the gorgeous Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection which is just yummy, I especially love the scalloped Glitter Jazmyne Amethyst paper.

The beige 'ribbon' stuff below the photos was supposed to be pleated but I bravely ignored Tracey (as she stood behind me and told me off) and pushed the stitch length on the sewing machine up to the maximum and gathered my ribbon instead. I am quite anal about even-ness and knew I wasn't going to get the pleats all even so thought I would just make it a very un-even gather. I did buy some more of the ribbon though so I could practise pleating at home LOL

Thank you Tracey for another great class, I am definitely going to try making more of my titles like this one (and yes will even try the pleating, may just need use my ruler to get even pleats and to pin the ribbon before sewing it to my layout though).

and without further ado here is my layout

these photos were taken in February 1996 and are of Alyse taking a photo of her new adorable baby brother. (I have used the Pioneer Woman's edge burn action on my photos)

Don't forget to check out my fundraiser info in the last post...

Fundraising for Cranford Hospice

Please sponsor me to get my head shaved!

Proceeds to go to:
Hi my name is Raewyn aka Mum, the Big Cheese, Nana Whinney and Mrs Aldridge. At nearly 45 years old, I, like so many others, have experienced the loss of loved ones through a terminal illness. The support of many people during this illness and each loss got me through. Cranford Hospice was also there, for my Grandad in 1998 and my dear Dad in 2007. The Hospice staff cared for my Grandad, at their hospital, in his last few days as well as supported family and friends as they gathered around him. Dad was very well cared for by Hospice staff also but as an outpatient. They fully supported Dad's decision to spend his last days at home and visited regularly ensuring we were all kept informed of the best form of palliative care to keep Dad painfree and comfortable. June 2nd, 2010 will mark the third anniversary of my Dad's passing and I want to give something back to Cranford Hospice by way of a financial donation. You may have heard in the media recently that Cranford Hospice are going through a restructure, but rest assured they are still in need of any financial help we can provide as outpatient care of 130 patients is still ongoing and oh so important to patients and their families. I have chosen to have a head shaving ceremony and ask for your help in the form of financial sponsorship. This will take place on June 2nd, 2010 at EIT Hairdressing schools and will, of course, be well documented by way of photos! Please consider supporting me in this fundraising for Cranford Hospice I want to make sure that shaving my head is definitely worth something to everyone! You can make a donation in a couple of ways ( we want to make it as easy as possible for you to do it!) All donations of $5 and over are tax deductible and will be receipted back to you.

You can ….
1. Make a donation directly to me and I will pass it on.
2. Go to http://www.cranford.org.nz/donate.php and make an online donation through our secure donation link. Just make sure you put in the applicable field that the donation is for my event!

Thanks for your support – I really appreciate it!
