Tomorrow (Friday) I am hoping to get into town to buy the groceries before it really heats up and then back home to make up some new page kits for an upcoming crop. I have to get through a stint of Jury Service next week, but the crop will be the perfect way to end the school holidays!!

Scraplift yourself challenge
Vicky G issued a challenge on the SBO forum, to scraplift yourself. I found it a real challenge too, because I generally scraplift others or use a sketch. However I found three layouts I had created by myself and scraplifted them (my originals on the top & the scraplifts underneath).

very minimal change to the scraplift this time, the original LO had a hinged photo matt as there is a music CD hidden underneath but the scraplift was stuck directly to the background cardstock.

again there are only little changes to the scraplift LO, in fact it is just the type of embellishments that are different.

Virtual shopping
Lesley has been holding a virtual shopping challenge over on the ScrapbookOutletNZ forum. You have to "buy" (choose) three items off the shopping list to use on your layout, then you add three items to replace those you choose.
For this layout I bought brads, felt and paint. Some of the flower embellishments are felt and some of the flowers are attached with brads. I painted the photo corners, photo mat edges and the chipboard '3'.
Alyse has since given me her personal journalling notes, which I added with strips in the upper right hand corner of the layout.

TJ was impressed with this layout mainly because it included some of his many guitar photos! LOL!

This time I bought stars, black cardstock and pop dots. May be hard to see in the pic but two of the stars are raised up with the pop dots.

I have been virtual shopping again this morning, and need to create a layout with something orange, rub on alphas and circles! I can see a layout about ME coming on cos I love orange and circles!
